As an Indian I am compelled to believe that democracy works best. Yes, it is best when elected leaders ensure that development is not halted. The bone of contention here is should country as big as India follow a model of democracy where routine decisions pass through umpteen levels of debate before being implemented, thus delaying development & growth. Indeed India is a wonderland considering the 8% growth which is being clocked, or the infamous “jugaad” which rescues us through thick & thin.
